The following is a series of posts relating to a theme I call ‘defying expectations’. They deal with issues relating to developing self-worth and self-confidence, while at the same time championing non-conformity. They stem from my background in psychology, interest in ‘pop psychology’ and ideas I’ve developed from my many years of introspection and self-development. Nevertheless, as with most of my posts there is a good measure or levity and surrealism present. Hopefully though, those who love self-help books and who troll the psychology department or Banes and Noble, will be able to see the forest from the trees … or vice versa. Enjoy!
